Our Bakery
At Bobbin Head Bakery we provide your favourite traditional bakery treats with a few modern twists (like delicious gluten free products), great coffee and a warm sense of community.
Our Story
James grew up in bakeries. His Dad, Jorgen, and his mum, Hanne, first owned one in Denmark before coming to Australia in the early 1980s.
In 2006 James and Jorgen bought Bobbin Head bakery together, and then in 2021 James and Acacia took over when Jorgen and his wife, Jill, retired.
Together they are inspired to continue the community feel of Bobbin Head Bakery, providing a hub for the residents of North Turramurra and surrounding areas to meet for fresh cakes and pastries and beautiful coffee.
A bit more about us
James and Acacia met at Turramurra High School in Year 7.

They have one son, Louis-James, and another baby on the way. They have 5 dogs, 2 cats and 4 chickens (and would have many more pets if it was up to Acacia).
Acacia has a degree in Psychology and prior to owning the bakery worked with the community justice program assisting people with mental health issues who had contact with the justice system.

James has worked in the family bakery his whole life, but in high school briefly dreamed of being a doctor or a pilot, but after dipping his toes in to university decided it wasn't for him and joined Jorgen in the bakery instead.
